I'll say
NLCS: Giants over Brewers
ALCS: Astros over Rays

WS: I'll stick with my original preseason pick of us losing the World Series. So I'll say Giants over Astros in 6

regarding the National league...

the Giants and Padres still have 10 games left to play against one another.--- that's a bunch so late in the season.

it's seems unlikely that SF can win the West and SD can make the wildcard game --- one is going to slide down the standings

in the AL...the White Sox at Oakland for 3 games starting tonight..

the original plan was to root for Chicago, but with the AL #2 seed up for grabs...need the A's to win a couple.

the White Sox have a losing record on the road this year. Home field for the ALDS is important

It was 2020 and TED got off to a slow start. Similar to how he did this year. I am not sure he was 100% alone in that thinking either.
he wasn't. I definitely wanted to trade him for Realmuto when that was a possibility. In our defense, he looked like a baby giraffe swinging Thor's hammer at that point. It's also easy to forget how young Tucker is. Lance Berkman still had few enough PAs to qualify as a rookie at age 24.

Anyway, starting a thread on the subject probably warrants some trash talking, but like they always say "let he who never told us Raley was actually pretty good cast the first stone."

Is that really "false $h1t" though? Has JV been to a game?

I don't think JV owes it to anybody to be there for every game or anything, but I understand where seeing Reddick, recently released but getting over his ego and showing up as "just" a fan and sitting on the front row and supporting his brothers reminds everyone that JV has been MIA.

The JV hate I think is dumb.

But his little brother makes no sense at all. A player doesn't have to jump through a bunch of hoops to buy a ticket and come to a game.

That's a stupid argument and honestly his little bro is kind of insufferable.

I agree with all that. I don't hate JV for staying home and enjoying his family, but come on Ben, let's not pretend like he hasn't been there for any other reason other than that he doesn't feel like going.

For sure.

He's still on the team, and I'm sure he still contributes in the ways that he can. Texting guys and encouraging. Maybe telling them what he sees on TV? I give him the benefit of the doubt because he has been a good teammate in the past. In fairness I can see where it would be really hard for a competitor like him to be around but not be able to play.

However little he has contributed, he has certainly helped the team more than Dusty. Or Robel.

I will never hate JV. He brought us so much joy from 2017-2019.

That being said it is a little annoying he hasn't been seen with the team once this year. Who knows the full reasoning but it would be nice to see him at MMP like Lance did during his recovery.

If we do win a WS I think he should get a ring, and I hope he considers taking a deal with us next year. Maybe 2 years 25 MM

This is how I feel. I assume, like his little brother pointed out, it's due to COVID protocols. However, I don't give him an "out" because of that. I assume covid protocols simply require quarantining or something similar if you're going to be with the team. It just screams to me that if JV could walk into the clubhouse when the team is in LA he would, but anything that requires more commitment than that is a big negative.

Do you think a player on the roster should buy a ticket to attend a game? Of course not.

I am sure there are rules JV would have to go through, but I promise if he told Click or Crane, he wanted to show up to MMP for a game, they would make it happen. JV would have to follow some covid protocol. Maybe he wouldn't be allowed on the field. Maybe that is where the rub is.

I'm not going to hate on JV either. It's disappointing he hasn't been around the team, but maybe it is due to COVID protocols and quarantining. To join the team in the clubhouse, he may have to follow certain procedures. Reddick lives here. JV doesn't, so it is easier for Reddick to get to games.

My questions is what is considered "on the roster" because during IL stints those guys are in the dugout, Scrubb has been in the dugout, Montero has still been in the dugout, your telling me Click wouldnt let JV and the family come sit in his box?
