Yes, I fully understand how good he is. Not my first season following the Astros.

But even fastballs in the middle of the zone are being whiffed on. You can't deny they look lost. To me, they look like they're pressing, but that's an opinion. Then looking awful is fact.

I don't know if it's lack of effort. Earlier there were some hittable pitches but the last couple innings there's been nothing but corner pitches and breaking balls that I'm sure look like they're headed down the middle

We have to start fouling stuff off and make him work. It's not even about running pitch count up. It's about making him make more pitches so he can make a mistake.

100% true. Of course they're trying.

It's not lack of effort, it's that they're pressing and not putting good ABs together. So much of hitting is mental. It's focus and a consistent and calm approach. The only one I've seen have that is Brantley. The rest look like they're pressing too hard.

I would have let Lance finish the inning. Then sent Urquidy to the pen

Lance could have gotten through the 5th keeping it at 3 runs

He settled down and looked solid. Sure the damage was done, but I'm not sure going to the bullpen here is the answer with what we have out there.
