So the starter has to go 5 innings to get a win, but a guy can come in with no outs in the 1st like Garcia did today and pitch 4 innings and get the W...because he didn't start?

Obviously not the situation for that today since he'd have to finish the inning to leave the game with a lead, but is that right in theory - if that happened?
