Isn't the seeding based on number of home runs? That's why he's gone first every time, but that's also why his total HR record might never be broken (because he was able to max out every round)

The previous a record for total derby HRs hit in a career was 91 by Todd Frazier (lol). Vlad Jr hit 91 tonight.

Well in fairness, a 5 or 7 game playoff is a really stupid way to decide which baseball team is better. Unfortunately no American is going to go for the premier league format where the team that wins the most games is the champ.

granted i don't follow the ever changing rules of the homerun derby closely. but, the one thing that felt wrong last night was Vlad having to go first in the final round. its much easier to hit knowing what you have to beat. feel like since he hit the most in the semis he should have gotten the 2nd spot.

The overall format is perfect. Reseeding after rounds is a good idea.
