So Verlander had a good game 1. Cole gave up 5 in game 2. Keuchel gave up 2 (in the first) in game 3, Morton gave up 4 in game 4, Verlander gives up 4 tonight.

I look back on that Game 2 and our early lead in that game and just wonder what could have been if Cole wasn't unusually "off" in his command. He is a guy that just doesn't walk guys much and yet he lost it. Then we were a little sloppy late in that close game 2 after Cole left the game. And who would have ever thought at that time that Cole might not even get a chance to pitch again in this series? Just a bizarre direction the series has gone since that early lead in game 2 (and already up 1-0).

Red Sox players have said over and over Cora brought a strong 2 strike approach over to Boston. Cora himself has said the first thing he noticed when taking the job was that they swing and missed too muched.

It's the same approach that we were so good at last year and people said we were missing earlier this year.

He's figured something out and it works.
