I just caught up on the latest Survivor episode and watching final 2 episodes of The Office while enjoying a nice scotch. Much cheaper and enjoyable than getting my nuts kicked in at the Astros game for $500 - way cheaper

it really has been the "other" guys for boston this series that have been the killers.

they are a damn good offense. their pitching is performing a lot better than I thought they would.

So Verlander had a good game 1. Cole gave up 5 in game 2. Keuchel gave up 2 (in the first) in game 3, Morton gave up 4 in game 4, Verlander gives up 4 tonight.

Best pitching staff in the league. Baseball is a bltch.

While we should have a good team, I guess all the talk of an Astros dynasty is going to calm considerably. How many of our starting 5 pitchers will be back next year and after 2019?

Justin Verlander - signed through 2019
Charlie Morton - free agent after this season
Dallas Keuchel - free agent after this season
Gerrit Cole - club control through 2019
Lance McCullers - club control through 2021

Given how we have been fielding the last couple of games, I think that's pretty optimistic that it would work in our favor.

I know there is a big level of pride and "I am a better fan than you are dick measuring contest" on this thread. I was very active last year, from beginning to end and have been following the Astros for many years.

I might be wrong, and you will call me out if we win this game. I don't care. This team has not performed well this series, in addition to the bad calls. If we win, I'll eat my crow, but not looking like it.

McHugh, Framber, James and Whitley will fit in just fine to fill the gaps

We needed our pitching to perform against Boston and they just haven't gotten it done. Hats off to Boston (with some help from the umps) as they've been the better team

shades of those great Atlanta Braves teams...with 3 Hall of Famers in their starting rotation, but flopped repeatedly in the postseason
