I think if Kemp keeps producing, the Astros need to send Fisher to Fresno. He needs consistent ABs to figure things out and cut down on Ks. He'll have his time in the future.

The Astros are an embarrassment of riches right now. They have so many quality guys and can't play them all.

I think next year the Astros will look different and open up that second half of the championship window.

I think AJ Reed is done with the Astros. He'll be languishing in the minors if he stays with the club.

Also, since TED is so young, I think he just gets seasoning with the Astros in 2019.

For the time being, I hope we stick with an outfield of Springer in right, Kemp in center and Marwin/Davis in left and limit Jake to late inning defensive duties. I've been enjoying getting production from the bottom of the order recently.

But big outfields in CLE and NYY are coming up, so Jake's late inning defensive ability will probably come in handy.

In the longer term, I agree. I think he's sufficient enough for now though (while we get healthy), so long as he's swinging the bat well.

Obviously we're all loving the Cole trade, but lets check in on Colin.

As long as Moran doesn't significantly out perform Bregman (and by significantly I mean enough to break even on Bregman and be enough to justify what Cole has brought) then it's a W for us. But I agree that that trade was indeed a true win-win. They got a solid, controllable player who'll be around for their rebuild, and we got a great pitcher that put us on another level.

Interesting topic (eh argument) going on the cellar dweller's thread...What is Nolan's role and contribution to this team? Does he work directly with pitchers? Does he give his thoughts to Luhnow on trades? Does he scout draft talent? I'm not exactly sure honestly.
