I don't disagree with taking Devo out - I'm not confident he would have gotten another out after loading em up.

I strongly disagreed with not letting him pitch the 9th on Thursday after he got through the eighth so efficiently and dominantly.

The difference is on Thursday you know he's pitching lights out whereas yesterday you know he's not pitching that well. Same concept as letting Chuck pitch the duration of game seven rather than taking your chances on someone else since we don't exactly have any Mariano Riveras...although after last season and Devos 2nd half crash after heavy use, I'm sure AJ is thinking about keeping his arm fresh and not just the current game.

We just need the bullpen to step up Or at least not crush our record...and then just phase them out of the postseason again.

I don't think Devo pitches bad

The backup catcher had a great leadoff bunt that threw a wrench in everything

Dback hitters laid off some good pitches and worked him as Devo was trying to be careful

Outside of a few scattered games and the White Sox's series our offense has been putrid at times for the better part of the last month.

This feels like last August when we went in a month long coma. (It was August right?)
