Cole's FB command is on point and that slider is sick.

It may not be this year (and maybe it is) but I'd bet that Cole wins a Cy Young with us before it's all said and done. He's such a perfect fit for this organization and staff.

Seeing Cole looking so dominant in a small sample size it makes me think about the future. I'm going to say Whitely + McCullers + whoever else we build in the minors will not be enough to lead us in 2020. If my options are to extend Dallas after this year, Verlander after 2019, or Cole after 2019 (because i don't think we can afford to do more than 1 with Tuve's deal and Correa becoming a FA) then i think Cole might be my choice assuming he looks good to great these next 2 years.
