Martin is our 5th-6th best position player? Judge is their MVP candidate.
I think Judge hitting a lot of solo homeruns is more a reflection on the guys batting before him's inability to get on base.
Plus challenging him with FB's (and getting burned) compared to pitching him carefully with ducks on the pond.

Because 12 teams have the night off?
I assume astros4545 is asking why so many teams have an off day on a Friday night which is generally seen a date in which clubs are likely have higher attendance due to it being the start of the weekend? It does seem to be rather odd scheduling even with the earlier start date in order to give more off days throughout the season.

I know I've mentally made the transition to the Astros being an AL team when I saw the Padres lineup on the screen and recognized maybe 2 players, and one of them was Eric Hosmer. Granted, it's the Padres and they're not exactly headliners.

He certainly didn't look good, but he got through it. That's been the problem with Lance previously is he's not very good at grinding out innings when he doesn't have his A stuff.

ATSW jinxed the 'Stros... Just catching up on the pregame and the have a Padres vs Astros comparison thru 7 games it shows Pads 1-6 in 1986, 1994 and 2018 and Astros 6-1 in 1987 1988 and 2018. All of the Padres data is in white font and the Astros 2018. 1988 and 1987 are yellow. The key shows white as missing the playoffs!!!!!!!!
