Severino's slider doesn't seem that great to me. He hangs it over the middle more than half the time.

Jake saves a potential run probably once every 3-4 starts defensively but costs you a potential run every 1-2 games with his bat.
He's had ABs in a ton of big situations and K'd in basically every one, including the 9th last night... you could argue he's more useless than having a pitcher up there because he can't bunt to save his life

Which is what makes his slider so tough. You have to be ready for 99 and he can drop that in.
Just because it is high in the zone doesn't always mean it's a hung slider. He hasn't been throwing cement mixers. They've all had a lot of movement.
