He hasn't been hitting that well. Not awful, but not worth what his contract is. Also, I read something about getting off the books for his 22 million next season. If he reached 497 plate appearances, that contract would vest.
Pretty smart move on their part. Moreland will get more playing time now. A team will pick him up.

Thanks, just read it and someone posted the same thing about his contract. Wasn't a ton of discussion on it.
Trading for him is an obvious no go. But if he's dfa'd and we could get him on the cheap, it's an avenue to consider.

I could see the Rangers trying.
So they won't owe him $22mm next year.
He kills the Yankees. .364 3 hr 9 rbi in just 18 AB this year so far & has hit them well lifetime.

I didn't see much of that. Rather saw the majority of the people saying we had to do something with the bottom half of our lineup to get the offense going....which is exactly what happened. Kemp and Davis up...Marisnick down to get his head straight etc.
Rightful complaint and it's obvious the front office saw it as well.

Yep and they've been noticeably absent the past week
