well I guess we'll see if my theory is correct that he can't pitch back to back games as his velocity suffers.

Going to maintain the 1/2 game lead. Halos are beating up on the Rockies.
Need to get some separation this weekend against the arlingtons.

That was a nice "get right" sweep

Double-digit hits in each game and an off day tomorrow before getting the Rangers at home for a weekend series

Mets batted out of order today do to a screwed up lineup card. They list everyone twice in two columns for some weird reason.

What a nice win!

If you ever get an opportunity to catch a game in Oakland, do it. I wouldn't go out of your way to schedule it, but do it.

The Coliseum is trash. It's what games would be like if the Astros still played in the Astrodome. There were only about 10k at the game today, it seemed. But, the weather, good God, it was fantastic for baseball! It was sunny, but there was enough chill in the air to keep you from getting hot.

As for the A's fans, they are passionate and knowledgeable. The stadium got louder at some points with that small crowd than I have heard it during regular season games at MMP.

The concessions were standard fare, and on par with the cost of Astros concessions. The stadium is so convenient from the airport.

Even though the stadium is a dump, fans like their team and they are proud of it.

I'd post some pics, but I'm on mobile.

And to think they blotted out the view of the mountains to add seats for the Raiders, who won't be there in two years.

literally a quote from you 5 days ago:

Lighten up, Francis. Good win and sweep for the Stros

Thanks for digging into my history, bro. But I'm talking more about your bleeding over a 1-0 lead in the 6th inning

Been to two games there. One day game in the summer that was glorious and a night game in August that I froze my ass off in spite of us bringing a blanket

If I had to guess I would expect the next Astro in Cooperstown to be Altuve.

What about the Big Puma? I think he has a good chance
I like Lance and he is one of the best switch-hitters of all time, but I am not sure he did enough to get in to Cooperstown.

Lance had that great year for the Cardinals but aside from that he was really not very good from 2009 on, and I think that's what inevitably will cost him a spot in the HOF. He is someone that I truly believe did not use steroids and still put out great numbers in the steroid era. Ironically, he did not do much in terms of fitness compared to other guys and I think that's why his performance dropped off so sharply.

If you look at baseball reference, the players who they say have had careers most similar to his are a bunch of guys who were very very good but not quite good enough to make the HOF - Jim Edmonds, Matt Holliday, Mooses Alou, Dick Allen, Brian Giles.

Also I did not realize Lance had come in the top seven in the MVP voting six times - 3rd, 5th & 7th,
twice each. To me that's probably his strongest Hall of Fame credential, that he was among the leagues top seven players for six years in his career. Still probably not quite good enough.

not sure if it was planned this way...but the Astros will be on the road during all Rockets home games vs. the Warriors (including the if necessary games)

Doubtful, to many factors to play into that. No way they could have known when they did the schedule.
