I used to be in the "tear it down camp", but as the years have gone by I'm glad we are going to save it.

Houston is not blessed with many icons that are known worldwide. The Astrodome, if properly preserved, can serve as an iconic building for generations to come.

By adding parking spots inside, they can hopefully free up some adjacent to the stadium(s) and build more green space around the NRG complex. It would be great for tailgating-rodeo use.

The fact of the matter is, we throw away a lot more money on other things. This one doesn't bother me as much.
