Hoping for a solid spring training, would love to see him get going in 2018. He was awesome in 2016, would love to see him healthy and playing like he did 2 years ago!

Just got back form the Tribe training facility in Goodyear, a few of the pros were already there but no Tyler sighting. Word is he took last year's "demotion" hard, as anyone would.

Its hard to imagine they aren't trying to move him considering their need for right handed bats and bullpen arms. I guess we'll see how the massive free agent market works out, but picking up Brantley's option can't have helped.

They had this on the wall:

Agreed.

Birk got up to double A last year and did okay. He's kind of blocked the big league level though.

Allemand was in double A last year as well. Didn't light the world on fire.

Juengel spent his 2nd year in Triple A. He's 28 now and doesn't look he's busting down the door to the bigs.

No one else is above A ball for a position player.

Except that the Marlins just cleaned house. He may get a shot just to fill a whole until their replacement guy is ready.

Fun fact about Pennington. I believe once he makes the opening roster for 2018, he will be 4th all-time among Aggies for seasons played in the majors. Davey Johnson spent parts of 13 years in the majors, Wally Moon 12, and Chuck Knoblauch 12 as well. 2018 will be Pennington's 11th season; not bad for a utility player.

Logan Kensing and Justin Ruggiano are both sitting at 9 years each, but Kensing is a FA and Ruggiano was cut in the middle of last year and hasn't signed anywhere. Michael Wacha and Alex Wilson will both be entering their 6th major league season in 2018.

If he can stick in one of the corners, even as just a platoon, that would be great.

Playing hard as a back up. Misplayed a ball. Yes it was a tough play. But still. He did have a clutch hit before that though
