That percentage went up under the new CBA to I think 46 or 48 percent. I believe they use ticket sale revenue from the postseason for player pool and other uses but exclude merchandise and concessions. It has been a while since I read through it

it is easy to spend Cranes money so I will throw this out there.

I have to admit I don't know all the rules concerning salaries and what not so this may not even be legal due to their limited time in the majors, from that perspective but here is my crazy idea.

Sign Correra, Altuve, Springer and Bregman to 10 year deals for $20 mil per year. Then we have the core tied up and guaranteed for the next 10 years. I would think with the world series title in hand, that ticket sales, merchandise sales etc will be going up by quite a bit.

I think our payroll was somewhere around 150 million last year and could handle the increase

Highest paid 2B is Cano at $24 Million. I would have to imagine that he would garner a contract between there and the $28 Million per year Miggy Cabrera is making.

If I'm the Astros front office and I have a blank check from Crane, I would add an extra $5mill on the last 2 years of altuve's contract as a show of good faith. That puts him at $11m in 2018 and $11.5m in 2019. Let him know we want him to stay an Astro and that we are willing to pay market price when his current contract is up.

Bryce Harper is going to reset the top end of the FA market in a major way next year. Any big name would be foolish to sign anything until then. Correa, Altuve, and Springer are all easily $30 mil/year players once they get to FA.

Never had the XR myself. Looks to be about $100 a bottle.

Its gotta be a really cool feeling. And think about all that guys like Correa and Altuve will do for their homelands with that. I hope we can keep them all, but anyone that decides to leave for the biggest paycheck he can get I will be genuinely happy for.

If I have the cash flow I'm willing to renegotiate them now at 6yrs/$150MM. In the case of Correa I would go 8/$200MM. That's $25MM/ur. The ARod level money. At 23 that gets Correa to 31 and one more big contract then. With the ages of Altuve and Springer I would be leery of doing 8 years right now. That would include tearing up their existing contracts and starting over from now. I would be hoping that redoing existing deals and giving that benefit up front with massive bumps now would entice them to sign what may be considered lower value in 4 years.

No way the astros could afford to have more than 2 of those guys on the roster with our **** tv deal.

We were talking to the account rep yesterday who handles season tickets for my family and he said they are selling a lot of new accounts already and retention is holding extremely well. They have an open house coming up soon for folks. Sounds like it will probably be as high as its ever been.

I think Altuve & Correa will be around the 27-30 area. George will likely be a little lower. Spotrac shows JD's market value at ~27 M.

Academy website has been the only one that has been consistent getting stuff out quickly. I've had 3 different orders since last week and they all came in within 3-5 days
