I am going to be in Kansas City in mid-June for 8 days, and the Astros will be in town during that time...while I was looking around the Royals site, another thing that makes winning the World Series so awesome is that pretty much every other team we play is probably going to have some sort of mention of when the world champion Astros are coming to town.

Sure picked up a ton of wagon-hoppers since the start of the season. I know that's a sign my team is awesome. However I get annoyed when I see people who had been fans for 2 weeks and got to go to a World Series game.

(And then leave it early because it was getting late)

It's been two days and me and my wife are just sitting in front of the tv burning through channels trying to find the Astros. But alas, we are the World Champions and I can't wait for pitchers and catchers to report.
I'll be in Spence tomorrow but my heart really isn't in it.

Same boat. I should be excited for an Aggie game tomm but really I could give two ****s. I'm still enjoying this World Series victory!

There was a couple, maybe late 20s/early 30s, that left during the 8th inning of Game 5...didn't seem urgent, just strolled out. You never completely know, but it just seemed odd.

Short of a complete disaster, there was no way I was leaving that game until it was over.

The two rows in front of me were mostly Dodgers fans. They left after we hit the homer in the bottom of the 8th. Missed an epic ending.

While I still hate the Yankees more than the Dodgers, I was kind of surprised by how they (the Dodgers) acted during and after game 6. Joc Pederson's little dance around the bases after his HR, and then the comments by Hill after the game calling out Yuli, and then Jansen's interview basically guaranteeing a win the next day. I think the Astros showed up for game 7 with an attitude. They probably would have anyway, but it sure seemed like the Dodgers used some pretty questionable judgement didn't they?

These are all good points. I've been to Dodger Stadium and have always kinda liked the Dodgers...have a hat.

When I was a kid and the Dodgers were playing the Yankees I always rooted for the Dodgers, couldn't stand the big bad Yankees.

Now after this series, I got no issues with the Yankees and think the dodgers are a bunch of tools.

What still amazes me is how effortlessly Morton got through the last three innings.

I think we were all anticipating some suspense as far as the Dodgers maybe getting some runners on, but it never happened. He pitched like it was a game in mid-June against the Marlins...effortless in appearance, although it was anything but.

The first two innings were enormous. To get a 5-0 lead that quickly took their crowd completely out of the game, and they couldn't get that key hit to put any real pressure on us.

We were in a similar position in Game 5, and Gurriel's 3-run blast to tie it up 4-4 flipped the script. No more Kershaw dominance...it was game on.

I couldn't go to the parade yesterday, but if I had to choose between that and being at that epic Game 5, I'll take the game 10 out of 10 times.

Ground broke at present-day Minute Maid Park on November 1, 1997.

Astros win their first World Series on November 1, 2017.

Astros have never won a world series clincher at home. That might be a good goal for next year. And to ensure home field advantage lets put 6 or 7 All Stars in next years game.

I know its a little early, but watching Biggio and Bagwell at the parade yesterday got me to thinking about the potential for future hall of famers on this 2017 World Series Championship team. Should at least have a handful.

pretty positive the all star game has no factor in deciding who has home field advantage anymore
