Its obvious Houston isn't experienced at championship parades
They probably waited until they actually won it instead of in advance like when the Rangers blew it.

Who said anything about the Rangers?

The rest of the country watching this got to watch badly timed shots of the crowd with sound synced from another camera, none of the parade, and none of the players.

Fantastic job.

When is the team expected to be on the stage? I'm just going to wait and tune in until then.

This really is pretty awful production value
How do they not have dedicated cameras on the players from an elevated position?

In a 45 minute broadcast we've had about 30 seconds showing the players. The only reason people are tuned in. Cool.
I'll tell you -- they are likely having technology problems. The way live shots are done now at many of the stations are through mobile boxes (backpacks) that rely on wireless towers. When too many people are on their phones, using data, it makes it rough to get live shots and pictures.

The reason you are likely seeing the anchors so much is because those are probably hard-wired to live trucks using the more stable microwave and satellite signals. From watching the 13 broadcast, there is probably a sat truck for the main anchors and Clemens, a live truck with the shot at city hall (podium) and a live truck with the site a few floors above the parade. The rest are likely operating on backpacks -- which are less stable.

Now, imagine each station with this type of setup. There's only so much bandwidth to go around.

Just a little insight...

It actually might not have been too bad without all the annoying commentary from the local news folks.

ABC 13 said Billy Gibbons is the special music person.

Expect the Crown Weave to make a memorable speech for no effing reason. She-Jack will hog the mic and make it about her and Harvey.

Just imagine how 1/6 would've played out if DC hadn't had such strict gun laws.

Two people starred his post as of the time of this signature. Those 3 people are allowed to vote in the US.

Was on the roof of the parking garage by Mickey Leland building. Managed to yell "Charlie!!" at Morton and he and his wife looked up at us. When I had his attention I yelled as loud as I could "YOU RULE!" He busted out laughing and his wife started clapping, what an experience!

Man, what's with all the hate? We'll get enough of the players when they reach city hall. I enjoy seeing all the people. This is a really cool thing, to me.

Not getting salty, just wanted to add my insight. Also, those backpacks can operate on a 3 to 8 second delay. I had a great situation with Bob Allen years ago at the rodeo.

Understandable. Would probably be 10X better if the reporters wouldn't talk every second and just let us listen to the party.

I actually have 6 links, and was getting super pissed the more info I looked up...So, look it up yourself, I am not going to fight about something I know to be true, to a person who would just as soon see me in prison or dead.

Although oddly enough, that calmed me down and told me
