The MSU game was probably the only game this year we were going to be able to make at Kyle. We're staying home to watch the Astros.
Planning to record the Ags, but will probably just set up a second tv and have it on next to the WS.

This game had everything. I love that we won it, but this was for sure an instant classic.

  • A generational great (Verlander) vs. a 37 year old journeyman (Hill)
  • A missed diving catch that hit a hat brim and prevented a run in the 3rd
  • A home solo shot ties it up in the 5th to break ano-hit bid
  • Only the second hit off the starter, but the second home run makes it 3-1 in the sixth, mirroring game 1
  • One run in each of the 8th and 9th innings off of the closer to tie
  • Random fan tries to attack visitor bullpen
  • Bottom 9 warning track shot and near walk off
  • Visitors scored 2 in the 10th (including EPIC bat flip)
  • First home batter blasts a solo shot to return the favor to the visitor closer
  • Umpire getting pegged with the ball to prevent an error on a 2nd base pickoff
  • Home team ties it up in bottom 10
  • Visitors immediately answer back with 2 more runs in the 11th
  • A benchwarmer with two hits ON THE SEASON and a -.9 Career WAR blasts a home run to make the ending that much more tense
  • The guy that blasted the solo shot in the 10th ends up as the final strikeout for the visitor win
  • Full roster usage from one side
  • Mix in a ton of defensive gems
  • 8 HRs (4 from each team)
  • 19 strikeouts
  • Multiple leads surrendered of multiple runs by both teams after the 7th inning
