I expect them to try and get a few innings out of Morton, McCullers and McHugh. Lots of ways they can play that. Regardless, I think that's a game the offense needs to take control of early. If we're expecting our pitching to dominate that game, I think we'll be disappointed.

If we win tonight that means we scored some runs and came out of our funk and that'll carry over to tomorrow. If that's the case tomorrow with momentum and the home crowd then we've got it.

I'm just a bit worried if they can come out of it today.

I think the first two innings are vital for this offense. If we can get somebody to Judy get ahold of one or draw a walk, bunt or just get on base and scratch together a few hits I feel like we will loosen up.

On the other hand if we go 6 up 6 down with strikeouts or a bunch of weak contact I think we are in for a long day

I have been to 2 playoff games and havent seen a scalper yet. And I was looking. For whatever reason they arent as prevalent as you would think.

Oh they're out there.

Walk down by Vic and Athony's and the Westin. They're all standing there with their 'I Need Tickets' cardboard signs.

FWIW...I would be hesitant to buy playoff tickets from them. Different for a regular season game. I would imagine playoffs bring out the pros when it comes to counterfeit tickets.

The only legit scalper I've seen in the postseason was a tent set up north of the stadium (congress and chenevert area).

As for the game tonight, my biggest fear is JV gives up two runs early and we lose 2-0.

Maybe we should tell Andy Pettite we want him to throw out the first pitch. Then while he is walking to the mound we play a bunch of clips of the D'Backs destroying him in game 6 of the 2001 World Series.

Then Orbit slams him to the ground as a pregame sacrifice to the baseball gods.
