Have the Astros ever had a big-hitting NL or AL Championship series? Serious question.

I still don't understand how it's home field advantage when both teams winning at home every time can leave the favored team down a game.
I agree... the split should be 3-2-2 to give a true home field advantage.

Maybe it's the Jack Daniels but I'm not sure what 3-2-2 looks like? So one team gets 5 games the other gets 2? Outside of this particular scenario I don't know I'd like that

With all of the liberties the yankee's batters have taken on our pitching, why hasn't someone been plunked? How about Frazier?

The amount of idiocy on this thread has finally gotten to me. This kind of series is why you build teams for the long term. Its what we keep telling the Rangers faithful. You build for long term because you want to be in the playoffs over and over again. Because when you get there you just don't know what's going to happen.
**** happens. You get cold. An average team gets hot. The Marlins won two rings doing that. The best team often doesn't win. Hell, the 4th best team in the AL over 162 games looks to be the best team right now. It's just playoff ball.
I'm out. I'll watch the game on my own.

I think he meant 3-3-1.
But the tried and true model is 2-2-1-1-1.
Whatever. These guys just need to pull their heads out.
This. And it's typically where you see the payroll discrepencies come into play.Wabs said:
Pitching wins championships. Give the Yanks credit, they shut down the best offense in baseball. Hopefully Luhnow is taking notes and quits being such a puss at the trading deadline.
We really bolstered the BP didn't we? May have come in handy last night.Ags #1 said:

And the Yanks went out and got Robertson. And we are where we are.Ags #1 said:
He tried and Baltimore wanted assets we didn't want to give up like Tucker or Whitley

Josh Reddick is just lost up there

At this point, we aren't winning. Pull him and save him.

You could say this about so many of our hitters right now.
Yes I do. I know we got Liriano at the deadline and haven't seen him all series because he sucks. I know we got an ace after the deadline. Anything I'm missing?Ag_07 said:Wabs said:

Do you actually know what happened at the deadline and afterwards?
