Girardi almost did something genius there. If judge was safe, we can no longer review the play because a new play had happened. Almost worked too.

I'm still in awe that judge got back in time in the first place. We had all day to throw back to first. What the hell?

Judge ran to second on fly ball. Fly ball caught. He ran back to first but didn't touch second on his way back. Out at first per ump (reviewed, not out).
But HINCH had alerted unis what plan was, when play contributed, we threw to second to force the out, Judge realized what happened and tried instead second back before we threw it.

I think I got that right.

Question on that play:

If Judge got to second before the tag would he be safe? If so, I think that's bull***** You miss second when tagging up to first, in my mind you would have to touch second before you can tag up, so shouldn't be able to tag up at first then touch second......
