Anyone know if the Astros radio call of the game is posted/archived somewhere? Want to hear our guys' call of the final play?

I may be wrong but I don't think our radio guys call postseason games.

They do. Not sure where to find the audio at though.

So much winning today. The Astros were clutch. The Aggies were clutch. I'm so pumped right now.

You are wrong. I almost wrecked my truck due to me ripping my clothes off while driving on the beltway listening on 790

Good to know. I was on our station for the first game of the alds and it was espns broadcast. So assumed

If you have MLB.tv, you can watch the games with the local radio guys for the audio. I've been doing that so I don't have to deal with listening to the national broadcasters.

I know in the World Series only the team's flagship station can carry the local guys. All affiliates have to carry the national feed.

Maybe they've changed that for all playoff games now. XM usually has both teams' feeds and the national feed to choose from.

Do you mean 790 or do you not live in Houston?

They did change it. It's for all playoff games now.

Awesome thanks. Robert Ford sounded surprisingly subdued somewhat. I thought he'd be ready to jump out of the booth.

I would just like to point out that Gary Sanchez is a garbage catcher who drops more than his fair share of balls, whether coming from his pitches or his SS on a relay to home.

And I am so thankful for him.

Aaron Judge, using all of his athleticism, cut the ball off at the edge of the warning track and fired into the infield. He looped the ball over Starlin Castro's head and reached Gregorius on one bounce at second.

Haha, that article is ridiculous. Altuve was sent home because Judge misplayed that one and threw it into the guy defending 2nd, not the cut-off guy. He also didn't throw it with any urgency.

What I thought was funny is the second Altuve touches the plate he untucks his shirt and his belt comes undone and it looks like he's got his schwanz hanging out his pants...and after the playoff run he's had so far, he's justified in doing so!

What is the point of the bias in sports writing? It's not like it changes the result of the game at all.

They weren't defending second. It was a double cut. The throw just took Gregorius to the bag. It was not a good throw.

Oh please, that was the brilliant ploy by Judge and it worked except that Sanchez dropped the ball. If he threw to the cut off man, Pettis would have certainly held even the speedy Altuve leaving the winning run on third with one out. Judge knew by missing the cut off man that the ultra aggressive Astros would try to score and his ruse would have worked with any competent catcher looking at his watch waiting for Altuve to arrive at the plate. Alas Aaron's teammate let him down.

He made the right call though. That's the rule. I don't necessarily like it, but that's the rule...

It's the right call using a stupid rule that should die this post season.
It's not the right call. The exception to the rule is if catching the ball carries you into the blocking path. And that ball was right on the money there.

He stuck his leg out to block the plate before the ball was there...right call of a bad rule

It is really just the bias of the writers and announcers showing through. They all live up there, and most of them favor one or more of the east coast teams, so when they talk or write about an east coast team, they are naturally less inclined to find fault with them.

If you have the ball, you are allowed to block the plate, no? It's only if you don't have the ball that you can't, I thought.

Verlander: 124 pitches, 93 strikes. Yup, 31 balls to 32 batters.

And f' anyone who argues ump. It was a well called zone.

Who goes up for Game 4 .. Dallas? Do we pitch on 3 day rest or 4 day rest?

3 Day rest rotation
Fri:, Game 1: Dallas
Sat: Game 2: Verlander
Sun: Rest Day
Mon: Game 3: Morton
Tue: Game 4: Dallas (3 day rest?)
Wed: Game 5: Verlander (same 3 day rest)
Thu: Rest Day
Fri: Game 6: Morton
Sat: Game 7: Dallas again .. wtf .. why are we playing in game 7

Seems like we are going to wear out Dallas arm before we go to World series

4 Day rotation might look like the following
Fri:, Game 1: Dallas
Sat: Game 2: Verlander
Sun: Rest Day
Mon: Game 3: Morton
Tue: Game 4: McCullers
Wed: Game 5: Dallas
Thu: Rest Day
Fri: Game 6: Verlander (5 days off but well rested and saved for the world series)
Sat: Game 7: Morton or McCullers .. depends on who seems to be throwing the ball well .. also have Dallas in the Pen if needed.

I think it depends how game three goes. I'm going to get given the choice Dallas will want the ball.

No way should we pitch Keuchel or Verlander on 3 days rest up 2-0 in the series.
