We've made it!

ArticPenguin:
I am a middle aged lesbian with two children. In Texas, the GOP would love to claim I am an unfit parent and take my children.

Response when pressed for proof:
I actually have 6 links, and was getting super pissed the more info I looked up...So, look it up yourself, I am not going to fight about something I know to be true, to a person who would just as soon see me in prison or dead.

Just wanted to reiterate my offer in case some didn't see it in the midst of the "invalid password" drama. I was able to get in and acquire a slew of extras, and happy to help out anyone from this thread who wasn't as lucky.

The ones listed below are all available, and I may have a few more that I can unload too. If anyone interested can let me know in the next couple of days, I'd appreciate it. I'd like to put any unused on secondary market ASAP to recoup my costs.

Game 1: Section 427, Row 11, Seats 1-8

Game 2: Section 427, Row 9, Seats 1-8

Game 5: Section 427, Row 6, Seats 9-16

All $50 each to cover face value and fees. I'll start a list and coordinate payment/delivery for anyone who wants in.

Hollabeck,

If serious, I'll take the Game 1 tickets. At least 4 tickets (but can use all 8 tickets).

Hollabeck,

If Game 1 is unavailable, I'll take the tickets to Game 2 (all 8 or at least 4 tickets).

Question about the ALDS.

Whether we finish 1st or 2nd in the AL, we would still be hosting the first two games of the ALDS right? So thurs and fri games for games 1&2 in Houston?

I guess technically the Sox could still catch us, but yes.

This is an interesting article. Odor has been a terrible hitter this year.

Odor is awful at everything baseball besides hitting HRs and jacking off teammates in the locker room. And hes locked into a long term expensive contract that the Rangers are stuck with for a very long time. They are so screwed.

Yes, if we finish in 1st or 2nd in the American League we would have home field advantage for the ALDS. Meaning Game 1 would be at MMP on Thursday, October 5th, and Game 2 would be on Friday, October 6th.

Last night:
Yankees beat Twins 2-1 (relevant to Angels chances of moving up into WC)
Red Sox beat Orioles in extra innings (trying to fend off the Yankees for the division title, and chase us for HFA)

What are we rooting for standings/wild card wise to get a night game series in the ALDS?

the Rangers have three guys that have god-awful batting averages and high number of homeruns.

Gallo: .211 AVG 38 HR
Odor: .208 AVG 29 HR
Napoli: .193 AVG 29 HR

That was kind of like what the Astros had in 2014 and even 2015 with Chris Carter, Valbuena, Gattis, Rasmus and Springer to an extent.
I think that's the biggest improvement to the lineup we have is the amount of guys hitting over .270 with power.

either to pass the Indians and have the Yankees win the wild card (Astros vs Yankees ALDS)

or have the Twins/Angels win the Wild Card and face the Indians
Indians vs Twins/Angels
Astros vs Red Sox

playing against the Red Sox or Yankees will help our case a lot

If the Indians take best record, I am absolutely ok with the Yankees winning the division and playing them in the ALDS. Keuchel has owned them over his career and the stros have owned that team this year.

I disliked that era. It seemed like most of the home runs were solo shots since we didn't get on base at a very high percentage.

If the Astros get to the World Series, what's the best guess for what aftermarket tickets (cheapest available) will go for? Does anyone remember from 2005 what they sold for then?

https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/cubs-indians-world-series-ticket-prices-up-nearly-400-percent-from-2015/

Last year was a huge anomaly with the Cubs being in it. Average has been around $500-$700 the past few years. The get in the stadium price is likely way cheaper and they do have standing room only for playoffs at MMP. Hopefully the Cubs don't make it back to the Series as that will drive up prices for each game. I would guess around $300-$400/game at the cheapest depending on the opponent.

I would expect the upper seats to be in the $400-$500 range and the lower to be $1000-$1200ish. Just a guess. If we were to make the WS. Aftermarket prices.

I'd say World Series prices depend on opponent. Dodgers, Cubs and Nationals will drive prices way up.
Especially the Cubs or Dodgers
However if somehow the NL wildcard team runs the table it could make it a lot cheaper

Why would the Nat's drive the price up, I get it that they have Harper and in DC but they're not exactly a storied franchise like the others mentioned.

I was just saying they'd be a bigger draw than the wild card team (DBacks and Rockies)

Face value of WS tickets for the Astros will range from $125 for upper deck to $300 for lower level and $675 for Diamond Club
