I'm done watching for tonight, might check in on gamecast but I've got 2 episodes of livepd to catch up on that's much more entertaining than this garbage.

I was so disgusted with the lack of trades that I havent really been able to bring myself to watch any games after the tampa series....and I'm glad because from what I see on gamecast, this team is just unwatchable right npw

I agree the deadline was a bust. But this is ridiculous. So a trade means the bats wouldn't be scuffling. A trade means the other pitchers (almost all of them) would be scuffling.

Come on. Let's be real. We all now if Keuchel and McCullers aren't pitching well, we don't have a great shot. Their uncertainty doesn't make the decisions easy at the deadline.

Here's the biggest question to me: what if we made a move at the deadline this year and didn't win it all? Would the expectation be to make another move at the deadline next year? What if we didn't win it next year? Same thing?

Team morale is a big deal
When your front office all but tells you they dont think you're good enough, that has a big impact

If the bats wake up, I will feel a lot better. We haven't been working many pitchers lately. Need to get back to that approach.

It was a historic pace at the trade deadline. How is management telling them they aren't good enough? Especially with the freaking lead they built up. If they take the way the trade deadline happened as a sign of management saying they aren't good enough, then they are pessimists. They could east feel management is saying, yeah, your good enough, to go it.

But you literally cannot do it every year. We contract are up you get stuck. The point people make about the prospects is with this in mind. I am for a balance between the two and picking your spot with regards to making big trades. You can't do it every year, but you gotta try at some point.

Let me ask you, if Keuchel and McCullers do not round out into form before thisbplayiffs, are you ok trading prospects for Britton when that help would be marginal at best?

They also haven't had two top line starting pitchers out for a good portion of the year who appear to be still having issues. Do Britton or Verlander stabilize the rotation for a playoff series?
