The way this team goes about its business now vs. back in June is a real head scratcher.

Remember all the quality plate appearances back then? We'd chew through arms by extending ABs, and it was common every night to see pitch counts.....say for example 55 for us and 85 for them.

Now it's reversed. Through 3 innings Fiers with 58 and Ross with 32. Ross can throw 10-11 innings the way we're punching ourselves out. This isn't just tonight, it's been a trend lately, a complete reversal from earlier in the year. I remember all the talk about the quality ABs in particular that miraculous rally against the Twins on the road....nowhere to be seen today.

How does a big league pitcher continue to miss his spot so many times? Fiers not only misses, but he misses back over the plate and right about the belt.

90 mph and flat...yep, that will get them.

Unbelievable that Gurriel and Marisnek on the bench!

Some of our batters, like Altuve, have an excellent average when swinging at the first pitch. But I'd agree we're not getting deep anymore.
