He needs to get from behind Correa because at this point I'd certainly pitch around him to pitch to Beltran. Actually surprised the As didn't just put him on after going down 3-0

I was thinking the same thing the other day and when I saw Gattis at DH I was excited. Then he grounded into a DP with bases loaded, no out, and a 3-0 count.

And just an FYI...I heard Lunhow on the radio this week talking about the BP. He said every game Hinch has the BP split up into 3 groups, guys he can use, guys he doesn't want to use or last resort guys, and guys he simply can't use.

The other night when Hoyt gave up the GS even after the day off Devo was in the guys he doesn't want to use category.

That may shed some light on why some guys aren't used when it seem like they should be available.
