I guess Bannister is going to have to kick someone's ass in the locker room. He's obviously not showing enough fire and passion in the locker room. He needs to execture another "finger point of doom" Right?! RIGHT?!


OH and they are 0-2 in 1-run games. Another 30+ losses in this category and the regression that I told them was coming will be complete. Remember though, the Rangers were just more clutch. They knew how to hit in close games and find a way to win these tight games. They totally had control over those 1-run victories.

The back end of the BP is such a crap shoot.

Every guy in their could get 3 up 3 down one day and blow up the next. And soon as we move a guy that looks good into the closer role he'll implode on cue.

I seriously have no clue who should be thrown when.

he has looked very good in both his save situations this year and not good in his non-save situations.

I like that Altuve is hitting the ball to right field. I think that will help him lock in and he will start driving the ball more.

Seems like anytime Bagwell got into a slump, he would do the same. Focus on hitting the ball the other way and then catch fire.

From here on out, until he starts to pitch better I will only refer to our closer as Kenny G, his pitching lately is the equivalent of 1 way elevator music; his ERA only goes up.

I think Giles main problem is that hitters can sit on his fastball b/c he can't locate his other pitches, and his fastball is very hittable.

Gregorson on the other hand could go 5 straight sliders no problem, and get whiffs on all of them.

They've both had rough nights so far but i think Greggy will have the better season.

In the same vein of the Killer Bs, our bullpen currently consists of Gregerson, Giles, and Gustave -- the mediocre Gs.

Nope. I'm not voting anything down. But I'm also not a fan of the constant *****ing about moderation of things they've clearly warned you about. I'd rather a PG rated thread than losing the thread all together.

Complaining about inconsistency in moderation will not help anyone in any case. We can't tell them how to run their business.

That exactly the issue with Giles. Hitters just sit back and wait for his fastball. He's inconsistent but I'd keep him in the role for now.

He seems to be much more locked in for an actual save situation. Like he feels like he's wasting his time being out there in a blowout or tie game.

And when he can actually locate his slider, he's unhittable

I think Giles tends to be much sharper when its an actual save situation. Last two outings were rough but neither were save ops. Not just Giles, but most closers struggle when asked to go get outs without the intensity of it being a save.

At this point I've got one foot in the move George down in the lineup somewhere bandwagon.

His leadoff bombs are great but damn it'd be nice if someone was on.
