I honestly think he overthought the rain situation since everyone seemed so sure there was going to be a lengthy delay.

I think he was thinking go Morton before the rain, then if we're ahead after the rain, go Verlander. But then the rain didn't come so he just used Verlander in relief.

The Verlander decision can be debated all day, but basically everyone on here was ready to pull Morton before he saw the heart of the order again and other than the one bad pitch to Benitendi, Verlander has thrown pretty well, he's now gotten us to the 8th.

I know emotions run high during a game so I'm not hating on anyone, but I'm not ready to say we choked in this game.

And this game isn't over. We're down one freakin' run, let's get a good swing of the bat and win it.

other than the one bad pitch... how was the play Mrs. Lincoln.

Second guessing is certainly at play, but it was a questionable decision from the jump to take one of your aces out of play for a potential game 5 when you have a 1 run lead early.

I don't question the call bringing verlander in if you think he is the best option... but I don't like bringing him in with somebody already on base if it's his first ever relief appearance. They had Harris and Verlander warming up... why not put Harris in to finish the inning, then have verlander come in and start a clean inning hopefully with a 2-1 lead or tied 2-2
