He's a giant rookie player in New York who hit 52 bombs. The attention he gets is not media bias or anything else, it's money. Fact is, more people are interested in Judge than Altuve.

That being said, IMO Altuve obviously is the MVP and I think he wins it, regardless of how much attention Judge gets.

I understand why he's a top name in MLB. However, there was a point in the season when we were getting MLB and ESPN notifications about how he did in batting practice. I don't care who you are, how old you are, or how good you are, notifications like this are overkill and ridiculous.

In fact, I'd go as far as to say that the reason a lot of people don't really care for judge is because of the nonstop media attention

Me and the rib will probably be checking it out before Friday's game. If anything just to get to the stadium early

He's a rookie putting up some pretty sick numbers and to just say 'Well he's a big MFer so he should be crushing it' is pretty short sided. Hell Chris Carter is big MFer and he sucks.

My viewpoint is that yes Judge is putting some impressive numbers and doing some things no rookie has ever done, but there are others in the league doing things just as impressive that deserve just as much love.

Agreed! As much as I wanted to see the Yankees lose last night, I like their chances of beating the Indians better than the Twins. Obviously we need to take care of Redsox first and foremost.

Yeah, not necessarily looking to pound beers at 10 AM, but wouldn't mind a cold one and some food trucks or something before heading in. We're trying to get down there pretty early just to avoid traffic.

What can we expect parking to be like?

Obviously I expect it to be a CF but are typically open lots going to be full because it's a weekday?

We're planning on heading up to MMP around 1 to give us time to park, walk, maybe grab lunch and beers somewhere if we have time.

Park elsewhere and take the train.

Tomorrows weather should be pretty great in the upper 80s, no chance of rain and decently low humidity. I know they like the roof closed for the noise, but would be nice to have it open

The C lot which is normally $20 was $60 online. I would imagine most surface lots will be filled with normal workday activity, and street parking is a no go since you will be there longer than 3 hours. Park somewhere close and uber or take the train/bus.

Which one of you is this?

I'm going to be parking with my father who is in a wheel chair. Anyone have any recommendations on how to do that. I would be willing to pay quite a bit to make that not too difficult.

I might as well cancel my classes both days. Anyone who bothers to come to class wont be paying any attention to me anyway.

I've already told my class that if we have a game on a Tuesday night for any series that we will most likely have a "hybrid day" and have an at home assignment, or extended time to meet with their groups for the group project

Last game I went to I parked at the Sheriffs office on Franklin about 3 blocks away. It was $3. I don't know how it will be on a weekday, but I just paid by the hour at the meter for the duration of the game. Huge win.

The issue you will run into this time is most of the meters downtown will have a 2-3 hour max on them, and the meters are live until 6:00. In order to get a spot on the street you'll need to be there early afternoon, and you'll have a ticket sitting on your windshield when we get out of there around 6:00
