I think the Yankees have by far the best shot. at their best, their starting pitching can great. Their bullpen is best equip to match the indians. And they can score runs with anyone.
In a 5 games series, I actually really like the Yankees chances vs the Indians.

Yankees in the Wild Card game...brings back actual positive memories of....Carlos Gomez and Colby Rasmus. Seems like ages ago.
I've got A LOT of positive memories of Colby.
He was great to have on that team even though his production kinda sucked. I'll always be a Rasmus fan after watching and getting to know him a bit. He's good people.
But once again...Gomez was worthless and had no redeeming qualities. Seriously. None. Zero.

Gomez killed team chemistry. Unlike the guys we've brought on this year who have added to it.

One other advantage to pitching Verlander Game 1 is that if we're down 1-2 I think he's better suited to pitch on short rest in Game 4 than Dallas would be. I don't have numbers to back that up but I'm thinking in terms of health and stamina.
Conversely, if we're up 2-1 should we throw Verlander on short rest or dip into Morton or McHugh?
