So let's say it gets to Sunday and Boston has the one game lead. Do they throw Sale knowing it pushes him to game 2 if they win or or do they roll the dice and save him, knowing they would have to win the playoff or worse yet the WC?

But I think you go for the win to close it out. Avoid the one game play in at all costs, IMO.
