I agree for the most part but we're playing sub .500 since that collapse 7-1 in KC.

Our pen is just gassed...can't really expect much else when we have 3 starters on the DL at the same time

So with Keuchel now out again, when is Lunhow going to address the need for another SP?

Curious to see if there is any trade talks kicking up tonight with the draft. Even with a cushion, this team can only hold on for so long in regards to SP. Pen is spent. Way too many injuries and I don't think McCullers has ever actually finished a season. I expect them to go after a bigger name then we maybe first thought.

Listening to 790 this morning, they made mention that our next big set of arms are all at the Single A level? I don't keep up with the farm system as well as I should. If that's the case, we need to make a move and not let momentum slip from us.

I would expect that teams are mostly focused on the draft right now. Give it until at least this weekend and I expect the rumor mill to ramp up.

I still expect Lunhow to make a trade for an arm somewhat early. I think he likes to get in and out before the big bidding wars start and be the tone setter for the market.

The "talking 'Stros" segment after the game yesterday said we had some good arms at AA. Can't remember who exactly.

Also any of y'all call in after the game and demand Hinch be fired? For the host of the 10th inning show all pissed off.

Its still pretty early for trades. Last year the first trade wasnt completed until 7/14 and the next trade didnt happen until 7/20. Majority of the action wont happen until last week in July.

If we go after a big name, it wont happen until very close to the deadline. If we go after a lesser name then I could see us getting done a little early.

Perez in High A and Whitley in Low A are the next top 100 type pitching prospect in the system after Martes and Paulino.

We have some nice arms at AA, but none that can help us this year and none that will fetch a particularly large return in a trade.

There are some interesting arms at AAA that we could still see at some point. Maybe McCurry or Comer in the bullpen. Im not sure what Brady Rodgers long term prognosis is, but if he were healthy I imagine we would have seen him already.

One thing I don't fret over is this regime's ability to draft. With that many picks we should do a nice job at restocking whatever it is that we may trade away at the deadline.

the NASA fields are starting a few leagues at the end of June: Monday night men's, Monday night coed, and Sunday coed double headers. don't have to be a member of the NASA gym to play.
