Giles seems to really struggle when he comes on in the middle of innings. Takes a batter or so to find his release points, and often the situation doesn't allow for that.

Well, with Giles, his fastball is not great. Very hittable.

Bullpen is what needs to be addressed for October purposes IMO, not the rotation. Imagine this offense, any of our starters going minimum 6 innings and turning it over to a few studs like the Royals did in their run a couple years ago to close the game out. Should be cheaper in prospects to get relief help rather than front end starters.

Giles came on strong second half of last year. I have faith in him. This game was nothing more than getting some innings in for a couple guys and it bit us in the butt. Get out of this inning, win the game, and celebrate a win on a fill in start by a kid who overall did a good job.

Did anyone else happen to notice that Paulina's arm angle is extremely overhead? Looks to me like he could be susceptible to lots of hard contact on pitches high in the zone against better teams. Might be a good bullpen arm though as he gets experience.
