Agreed Mr. Ackard. The throw from very short left field and came when Fisher was just rounding third. Looks like the ball just died.
Almost the exact same situation that Marwin threw out Greg Bird on in Game 2 of the ALCS. Except Bird was even closer to home when the ball was released (although Fisher is much faster than bird).
Either way, a big leaguer has to be embarrassed to bounce a throw to home from short left field.

Umm....did anyone else think they got scammed when they received their order confirmation email? I'm pretty sure the site is legit, but that customer service email address is sketchy.

very shady email indeed. Called the "customer service number" And it went right to an indian person. No "Thank you for calling SI" We shall see what happens.
Just FYI, both Academy and SI's websites wouldn't work for me in Firefox. As soon as I changed browsers, the orders would go through. In figuring that out, I may end up with 6 copies of the 2014 SI.

Figured it out. Placed my order. Somebody gifted me a subscription to SI this summer, so I'll be getting the 2 Astros covers coming out later this month.

Nope. My uncle did my dad and me a solid and drove down to the Chronicle's HQ and bought us one. My aunt wasn't happy because of the traffic, but she loves me and understood when I told her "suck it up, Buttercup!" Now, they're sitting at my dad's house, who is in Grandfalls, TX for work and will be home all of about 4 hours on Saturday before he catches a flight to Ireland. I'll get my copy one day.

Dumb question... but where do you go to buy a single issue of SI besides an airport shop? I've never bought a magazine other than having a delivered subscription.
