Games like this make me angry. To think where this club could be without all the blown saves.

I kinda like where this team is headed...

I like where much of this team is headed. But I dont feel any better about the bullpen. And that can crater everything, much like it has so far. Get just 1/3 of those blown saves back and they are sitting in the lead WC position. But the bullpen has them 2 out of the 2nd spot, and I can't say I see much light at the end of the tunnel there.

Almost certainly not going to be any help to the big league bullpen this year but there are a couple bright spots in the farm system:

Sadzeck is 25, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him given a shot with the Rangers at some point this season. He sounds like he's very inconsistent.

I hope this is just to slow down the # of IP that Sadzeck is getting.

He is 6'7" and can hit upper '90s with his FB, but I'd much rather see him as a SP, than a RP. However, he is 25 in AA, so time is ticking.

And yes... he is a "bright" spot in the minors, although, I don't think this season is an improvement over last year. I hope this isn't a "maybe he'd be a better reliever."

But, then again, if the Rangers are getting good vibes from the Darvish camp and Ohtani is thought to be a focus... a rotation in 2018 of:
Hamels
Darvish
Perez
Ohtani
YoMen

Wouldn't hurt my feelings at all. In doing so, Sadzeck's path to MLB may require a BP run.
