Fun fact, in 1958 the MLB said the minimum fence distance for all new stadiums should be 325'. The Yankees got an exemption (of course) to preserve their "historical" dimensions.

They didn't preserve their historical wall height however. Electing for 8.5 foot instead of 10 foot walls.

I'd roll with Claudio. He's been the most consistent arm. Knowing Banny that will take about 7 more blown saves out of Bush though.

Darvish left the have after the 7th for precautionary reasons after experiencing tightness.

Here's where it all goes to ****, Darvish misses his next start, and then gets shut down. Tanking both the season, and the farm system replenishing plan.

Schep has been pitching well since coming back. Would be big for the pen if he can keep it up.

Tampa also got an exception at their hell hole of a stadium. Must not really be any teeth to that rule.

There aren't any teeth. Basically if the visiting manager doesn't raise concern over the ground rules, they are deemed to be acceptable.

Petco violates the centerfield minimum distance. Minute maid violates left field, but has a tall wall. Baltimore is short in right. There's at least a couple more.

The fact they made new Yankee stadium a replica is incredibly cheesy. I've been to both old and new, and while nice, it just feels like one of those replica autograph balls with the fake computer printed signature. They should have done it in a similar style of the old yet allow it to have its own personality ...and fix that stupid porch in the meantime.

Ace. Trending up. Sign him. Great game last night.

2. Bibens-Dirkx: 3 GS, 29.2 IP, 18 SO, 4.25 ERA, 1.04 WHIP
A hopeful #5, Trending up. Is he one of those pitchers that it just clicks for, when they get to MLB? Doubtful, but he is the 2nd best healthy pitcher on the Rangers, right now.

3. No one.

4. Martin Perez (LHP): 15 GS, 82.1 IP, 61 SO, 4.70 ERA, 1.65 WHIP
A #2, who pitches like a #5, late in games.
ERA by IP: 5.40 (1), 2.40 (2), 4.20(3), 1.26(4), 7.62(5), 6.48 (6), 21.60 (7).
ERA by set 4.00 (1-3 IP), 4.79 (4-6), 21.60 (7-9)
He has a 3.31 ERA through 4.0 IP.
He has an 8.22 ERA from 5th IP on.
Is that because he is still recovering from TJ, that he isn't mentally deep enough, lack of conditioning, lack of repertoire, or who he is?!

5. Tyson Ross: 2 GS, 9.35 ERA, 1.50 WHIP
Trending down. Gotta suck it up until the ASB, or as long as we need him or he makes it healthy. He will be inconsistent for a few weeks.

DL
Hamels (Monday's SP). He is trending up, by the mere fact he is coming back.

Cashner (RHP): 12 GS, 69.1 IP, 33 SO, 3.50 ERA, 1.47 WHIP
Trending down, with DL stint. Wobbly SP, we hope can just be patched together. Flirting with disaster.

AJG: N/A.

Texas SP is 5th in AL Team ERA: 4.24.
Relief Pitching is still the main issue. 12th in AL Team ERA
