I don't think it's being rushed or anything of that nature. There's just a fine line between what makes a #2 and what makes a #4, and some guys just dont have the talent to break thru it consistently.

Perez doesn't have the mental toughness to be anything more than a 4. He can be sailing then walk one guy or have one batter reach and then just falls apart.

We should give a lot of thought to hiring Colby Lewis as a pitching coach. He could potentially be a.big bonus to some of your younger pitchers like Perez.

He is an enigma... Batting .260 and a .380 OBP.

In 59 GP, he has 39 BBs and 38 R. He gets 2BBs every 3 GP.

You look at his BA and thing, gawd we gotta get rid of this guy. Then, you look at his OBP and thing he is on base all-the-time.
