Could someone explain why HOU is favored with that pitching match-up?

Agreed. It shouldn't be an accomplishment at this point, but he actually used his best relief pitcher in a high-leverage situation that wasn't the 9th inning.

Post-game interview... Bush indicated that prior to last night, Banny had told him he was going to be used in the 8th. Bush indicated that while he didn't get in the 8th the night before, he was warming up in case. I don't know that Bush was real clear if Banny is looking to get 4 Outs, or more.

Bush said he liked coming in for the 8th. It almost seemed like he was implying getting a single out in the 8th would get him amped up and settled, before closing out the 9th. Maybe settle him a bit.

While it may have looked like Banny being flexible... he was actually doing exactly what he had told Bush he was going to do.

Good move, none-the-less.

No thanks - not sure I'd really want to see a Kela/Feliz vacant-eyed shell-shock bullpen duo.

Honestly didn't think Feliz was in the MLB still.

That Dysonitis must be terrible. Just looked Dyson up, and in two appearances with the Giants his ERA has actually gone up.

Feliz has given up 8 HR in just 27 IP thus far for the Brewers.

Yeah, in Dyson's first appearance, he gave up 2 hits, a walk, and 3 runs, and he didn't retire a single batter.

In his 2nd outing, he was put into a blowout loss. Pitched an inning and gave up 1 hit.

The combined Ranger and Giant records in games in which he appeared is 6-13, which is pretty damn amazing given he started as a closer (and was left in the role quite a while in spite of sucking ass).

The bad Giants outing really wasn't even that bad -- very reminiscent of his Rangers blown saves where ground balls just found holes in the infield. Guy is snake bit.
