He's just been what he has been for a while - a platoon player. He crushes against lefties, but can't hit right handed pitching at all.PatAg said:I loved Nap during his first stint here, but he has been garbage this year. Just looks completely lost at the plate.Squirrel Master said:
It's been almost 48 hrs since the last time they played. There really isn't much to discuss since then...
Dillon Gee making his first start against, of all teams, the Mets, tonight. Given that he pitched 4 innings on Friday, I'm sure they aren't expecting him to go particularly deep on 3 days rest, so you can probably view this game as a Minor League-esque tandem start with him and ABD, with the hopes that each pitch around ~3 innings and get you into the 7th. Neither guy should see a batter for a 3rd time, so this arrangement and the days off allow for this optimal utilization of each.
Over the weekend, there was some concern that Nap's back problems could force a DL stint, depending on how he felt yesterday and today. No announcement yet, but lineup not announced yet either, so should find out later today if he's good to stay with team or if he'll be getting a week off and Drew Robinson will get a 3rd cup this year.
