Dyson has to be done now. The guy even looks like he is just waiting for someone to put an end his misery. The Rangers have to let him go after this last outing.

Was at the game last night and the fans were not happy with Dyson. I saw him warming up in the pen and was hoping they would leave Bush in the game but lo and behold Dyson came in and took it on the chin.

Dyson needs to be DFA'd and if someone swoops in to take him, then good riddance. He has an 11 ERA and is not doing the Rangers any good.

I think the Rangers will keep Dyson. He is not a FA until 2020.

Tyson Ross was moved to the 60DL. He has one more rehab start. Originally only expected to have 2... he'll have a 3rd. Once activated (assuming all goes well), I could see ABD getting one more start, then activate Ross and moving him to the 25, bumping ABD to the BP, and then Dyson to the DL.

There will need to be some decisions made...

Maybe Dyson can trip over his dog.

Seeing the batting average against stats for dyson's pitches made me physically wince. Only Banister would keep running a guy like that out there.

Dyson was a disaster again last night, but for those criticizing Bannister for using him, I'm curious what you wanted him to do in the 10th inning last night?

- Barnette: said before game they wanted to avoid using him because of workload. He's also been worse lately than Dyson. He would have been the next guy.

- Kela and Gee: not available

- Bush: pitched on back to back days, wasn't available to go a second inning

- Jeffress and Claudio already used.

Dyson was the play there. If Bush doesn't give up HR or if Kozma doesn't make error at 3rd, it's all okay.

Jon Daniels certainly has to share blame for the performance of anyone who is on the roster. Bannister can only use who he has, that's for certain.

Absolutely. I hope he lands on his feet and figures it out for someone else. Just wasn't working here and we couldn't afford to ride it out any longer. Already gave him way too many chances to figure it out

I definitely feel awful for Dyson. He seemed as shocked as we were at the struggles and failure. Never quite seen a pitcher seemingly outwardly physically alright have such a dramatic downfall from one season to the next. At least in my head, Dyson's falling off the cliff seems worse than even Tolleson's. Especially when Dyson was actually good and usable during the WBC. Just completely lost it. What a sad, brutal ending for both sides.

Here's hoping he turns it around somewhere else.

Evan Grant was on The Fan for the rain delay. He said it was a surprise the Rangers were willing to give up on him, with as much controllable time, while he still was hitting 95-97mph without any apparent physical issues.

Apparently Dyson didn't work any mechanics or changes during his "10DL" stint. The Rangers had no more answers. It sounded like the Rangers were frustrated he didn't do anything. I'm guessing they were looking to put him back on the DL, but knew it wouldn't go over very well with him. Grant said about all they are hoping to get was Salary Relief, so that if they do climb back in, they can have some room.
