Don't think i've ever seen Odor approach an at bat in any other manner. He needs to take lessons with David Murphy about spoiling pitches and taking what is there

Lucroy with a painful AB too. Misses one piped right down the middle. Swings at garbage. Then weak pull. Ugly.

He's been better at seeing pitches this year. Still bad but better for his standards.

If Lucroy doesn't swing at a ball that lands 3 feet in front of the plate then we have a 1-1 count and a runner on 3rd. Instead, 0-2 and he's done.

Welp. Sometime when Felix pitches you'll get one run and like it. Tip your cap and get em tomorrow.

Can murph still play? I didn't know he was an analyst for us now.

It's been less than 2 weeks, but I am a bit concerned about Lucroy. Many times a contract year brings out a motivated, strong year. But he naturally seems so tightly wound already that I wonder if it could be counterproductive for him.

Elvis needs opportunities to get on base with guys behind him who can drive him in. Right now the best shot of that is Mazara. It makes all the sense in the world.

Yep. And then you see them set up for a fastball basically at his eyes and you knew he was about to swing right through it. He's gotta learn to lay off that.

He's too good these days to be batting that deep. Banny has this thought stuck in his head that Choo is a top of the order guy and he's not just anymore.

I'm at a point with him where id rather see Gallo DH when Beltre gets back if they're gonna insist on giving Profar regular playing time in LF. Choo is awful defensively and mediocre at best at the plate

I think Choo is a guy that will get it going but it's gonna take him a little bit. Right now he's dead weight hitting second. Elvis has to go there. And then if choo does figure it out that part of the lineup gets more dangerous.

For whatever reason I wouldn't want to move Gallo up in the lineup, at least not yet. Although you could make an argument for him to hit where Napoli hits. I feel like Gallo is settling in where he's at in the lineup and I wouldn't want to disrupt that by moving him in the order just yet.

The short answer is yes, early on.

His final year in LA was weird, and Seattle bit on the increased production. Seattle didn't see any reward for it.

I've raised the concern about Beltre. There was always a question about his age, so it was always difficult (like Pujols) to know.

I've always had my doubts about Beltre.

Having said that... I've read where over 100 players in MLB have an exception to use Aderral (sp). This came out when Chris Davis tested positive for it and the excuse was that he failed to submit his exception, which he had in previous years. From what I understand, somewhere in the neighborhood of 1/3 of MLB have an exception to the PED ban.

That alone makes testing and banning irrelevant. David Segui was on ESPN, as part of being named in the Mitchell report. He said for his role... he needed surgery but his testosterone levels were below what the doctor required. The doctor prescribed testosterone. When he discussed it with MLB, he was told if he took the testosterone, he'd be banned from baseball. So, he left baseball, took HGH and had the surgery. He said taking HGH was like an aging defiant chemical and he felt he was young.

Fast forward now, and players can take whatever they have a Doctor prescribe. To be diagnosed with ADHD... you need to go to a doctor and have 3 witnesses confirm you have behavior issues. That's it.

I think MLB should disclose exceptions. It would greatly help Fantasy BB rosters.

The 3 headed platoon in LF is stupid. I'd rather them just put Profar there for the time being and when Beltre comes back, they could put Gallo in LF most of the time.

If Cashner is still in this rotation in July, he may want to consider shaving that beard. That thing is going to smell like swamp ass by the end of a daygame start at The Ballpark
