No question in my mind as to whether Cruz is roiding. He hit the years where the incentive to land those last big contracts is incredibly high because the ride is almost over.

It seems like he finally realizes that teams are basically constantly trying to tempt him with bad pitches. And while that K was very unfortunate for him, that was incredible pitch execution by Hernandez. Right now honestly you could say Gallo and Elvis are our best hitters at the moment.

Mariners fans could sit there and say the same thing about Adrian Beltre.
Cruz and Beltre even both stopped for one season at another franchise. (Baltimore; Boston).

If it makes you feel better,
1)He's not really an outfielder.
2) Defensive positioning is a coaches job, first and foremost.
3) It's even more a coaching job when an infielder is playing in the outfield.
That said, yeah, I'm not a big fan of his, either. But the coaches have to be on top of defensive positioning.

That's kind of his shtick.
He's a professional baseball player. He should know better. They have tons of tape on Seager. There's no reason to believe he's going to hit a ball over your head in left field, especially against a pitcher like Martin Perez
Does anyone think Dave Raymond knows what he's talking about? This guy is clueless.
He is a pro, but they don't have a bunch of coaches and support staff around so they can sweep the dugout.
