DeShields is fast and that's about it. No reason to not play either Rua or Profar, and then put Gallo there when Beltre comes back

Yep. He's not a big league player. He's not even that great of a baserunner for that being his specialty
Right. He's fast. But it doesn't translate nearly as well as it should to his baserunning or his defense. It's actually fascinating to me that a player with his pedigree/childhood could be so bad at the mental and judgment aspects.
