Choo has been terrible this series as well but we're on the hook for a ton of that stupid contract still

I'd like to see Gallo at 1st. Platoon Choo and DD. Bring up Calhoun to DH.

While I'd rather have Gomez, DD brings a lot to this line up batting lead off. Saw some numbers the other day where the Ranger have a winning record when he starts there. I'd like to see DD, Gomez and Maz in the OF when Gomez gets back.

I'd be down with that. With Calhoun likely to be the starting LF next year, that moves Gallo to 1st. Wonder what the plan is for Guzman?

Choo is the real issue. Anchor contract and limited on what can be done with him. Basically hamstrings two positions.

I suppose they could put Gallo in left, DH Calhoun and put Guzman at first.

Gotta pay Choo to play somewhere else to do that. I'm not sure what no trade clause is built into his deal, but he's closing in on being a 10 and 5 guy with full no trade. Wouldn't be surprised to see them dump him this offseason. Last offseason chance to do so.

Agreed. Last few games have seen a much better approach. Still hitting the HR's, but also getting some runs some other ways.

The CWS are still playing in LA (B7th). It is about 40 mins from Dodger Stadium to LAX (Unless they fly out of Burbank). You are looking at a 3hr flight from LAX to DFW.

Say they finish midnight our time, 5 hours from stadium to hotel in Arlington?! Should be a HUGE advantage for tomorrow.

Gonzalez: 19 GS, 4.67 ERA, 1.48 WHIP vs Griffin (5.07, 1.22)

Win tonight and we'll be within a 1.5 games. Need a Cleveland sweep of the Twins in their double header today.

Always like to see them lose, but with 14 games left against Seattle/LAA those matchups should take care of themselves.

Tampa and KC are the teams I'm worried most about.
