Lucroy is up there with disappointments this year. When he hits, they seem to be quiet hits. He's been in the middle of the line up all year and has minimal production and his pitch framing and defense suck. It also doesn't help that he runs like he's got a 12" dildo up his ass.

Right. So regardless if the Rangers on within striking distance of a WC, what are the chances of moving Nap and Lucroy? I think Chirinos is probably an upgrade, Gallo mostly at 1st, and Choo to DH.

There's no blaming Lucroy for that. You shouldn't have to worry about framing one right down the pipe.

Ah okay. Yeah, agreed. I would have no issues if we just straight up cut Napoli. He's been so lackluster this season, and is a shell of who he used to be. Lucroy you'd ideally want something in return for.... but he has at this point played himself out of any real trade value of note, unfortunately.MSFC Aggie said:

It's almost hard to decide which trade was worse the Fielder trade or the Lucroy trade.

Yep it's pretty wild. I don't think anyone at the time thought it was a bad trade either, but it's definitely produced lackluster results for us, especially in light of how Chirinos has done when he's gotten a chance. He's honestly been better than Lucroy in pretty much every measurable way. He even seems better at calling games.
What bothers me so much is that we're right there. We're getting in positions to win, just cannot figure out how to close games.
I don't know about you but that would clearly indicate to me we need to trade every bit of talent we have and suck for five years.
It all goes back to the bullpen. Everyone there outside of maybe just Claudio and Kela is underperforming. We just don't have a "put this guy in and the game is over" closer.
Right. Or .... maybe resign Yu and perhaps go grab a closer off the open market.
Pretty even pitching matchup tonight. Hopefully Martinez can build off his last start and give us another quality start. Manage a W tonight, then get a favorable matchup tomorrow with Ross on the mound. Just need to keep winning series.

I like how Morales is so incredibly slow that if Gomez got a hand on that ball that I would say 99 percent of MLB players would double on it might have been a close play at 2nd. I wonder what distance they'd need on a sacrifice fly to score him
