We're not getting really any help from the umps at the plate tonight, but the offense is once again pitiful. Each AB the pressure increases on Iapoce. If this is what it takes to get him the hell out of there then so be it. We are just overmatched seemingly always

Just a few examples of how bad this plate umpire has been

it seems like there have been several WTF missed strike calls on balls basically right down the middle of the plate in the past few games. Ugh.

Swing the ****ing bat, Gallo.

Choo making it happen. And then comes the bullpen. Can't find a shutdown inning.

Every guy who went to the plate at least once tonight struck out including pinch hitter Rua. Well done.

Gallo's 4th 3-strikeout game in 8 games in May. His WAR has fallen despite 3 home runs.

I simply don't understand how all of these players can be playing so undisciplined right now.

We are so far past the point of "hey don't worry everyone is gonna come out of their slump eventually!"

Iapoce's gotta go. No idea how Banister can keep him on with what we're seeing at the plate. Nobody seems to be changing their approach at the plate.

Lapoce needs to go, but are all of these guys ****ing idiots? Can they not see by themselves that their approach needs to change? They're Major League Baseball players.

Yeah, I mean the "breaking ball down and away with two strikes to a same-handed hitter" is the most obvious stirkeout pitch ever and our lineup seems to be so eager to dive over the plate swinging at it. Do not understand how they don't know to lay off.

In 2016, Adrian Beltre was the 10th ranked player in the entire league in WAR....6.1.

Lucroy was next at 33rd overall, with 4.5 WAR. And he's been awful this year.

Ian Desmond was after him, ranked 56 overall with 3.3 WAR. And he's gone.

Next we have Elvis coming is at 89th overall and 2.1 WAR.

The final top 100 player is Roogie, at 96th overall, with 2.0 WAR.

So to me it's not just that they're lacking discipline at the plate. it's that their best(and oldest) player is hurt. Their third best player is gone. And their second and fifth best players coming in have been terrible.

Oh and if you're curious where the Rangers currently stand in the top 100 in WAR?

- Elvis @ 65

I laughed out loud when the promo came on to "vote for your favorite Ranger to be in the All-Star game". There's not a non-pitcher on this team worthy of that right now.

So frustrating to watch... Now that it is west coast, I can't bring myself to stay up late to watch them. Went to bed in the third once their pitcher got a hit.
