No ****. Expectations successfully managed, Houston. 3-7 is just plain not acceptable at this point. Bad play all around. This doesn't seem like the same team from last year. Not at all.

Also, Altuve and the 'Stros get some serious love in the opening credits! They even have Brownie's voice all over the place!


Made a third baseman and I'm hitting .600+ in Corpus Christi! with Marisnick and Tucker (wtf???). Jake has had some pretty clutch steals so far.

I really wish they made this game for 360, yes I know x1 but Im not spending money on a new system at this point in my life

My brother an I just bought a PS4 just for this game. Haven't played a baseball video game since MVP baseball back in the early 2000s. This game is really awesome.

Just a heads up that they close monument park 1 hour before game time, but the Yankee museum there is pretty damn awesome. They've got some really cool stuff.

I was worried I wouldn't be able to wear my "This team makes me DRINK" tshirt this year.... I was wrong

Team doesn't feel the same right now, but just a reminder that through 10 games last year, we were 4-6. As bad as it's been, we're only one game worse than we were at this point a year ago.

I don't expect this team to win 14 out of the next 15 like that club did, but let's not give up just yet. Plenty of season left.

The problem is, this team.. even in it's losses, isn't doing anything it did well at any point last year.

Runs scored are up but clutch hitting is gone.
Strikeouts are still alarming.
Still waiting on the same players to "break out".
Starting pitching is giving up more runs and exiting in earlier innings than the beginning of the season last year.
Bullpen is losing games on its own.

Runs against through 10 games:
2015: 3.7
2016: 5.5 (Removing 16 run outlier = 4.3)

I see your points, mazag08. The starting rotation is the #1 concern at the moment in my eyes.

McCullers needs to hurry his tail back. When Fiers/Feldman/Fister are battling for the 4/5 spot, this rotation will be in much better shape.

After that you have Feliz starting in AAA.

Joe Musgrove in AA could get the call ala McCullers.


I think the rotation will work itself out, but it needs to hurry.

I'm not too worried about much but the BP.

The Ks are gonna happen. That's what we do. You fret about that and you'll be done at thw 1/4 way mark.

Yeah clutch hitting isn't where it needs to be but it's early and these guys are still getting comfortable being in the grind of a season, travleing, and getting locked in. With the experience they got last year I expect them to pick it up.

The starting rotation will come around once Lance gets here. Dallas will be Dallas and McHugh will be fine. That first start was an outlier.

Really though we haven't been outmatched in many games. Seems like when the pitching no shows the offense shows up then the next night it's the opposite. We lost a few with late leads thanks to that BP. If Giles and Sipp get it figured out they'll be pretty nasty with Devenski in there.

Speaking of Lance...
