Colby has played pretty well above average...

He hit .238 last year, is at .263 this year and is a career. 245 hitter in 8 years. That seems pretty average to me.

Seems pretty above average to me.

And that's not even looking into some of the deeper sabermetric stats.

Colby is tied for 4th in the AL in OBP (with Altuve), 7th in OPS, and tied for 3rd in HR.

What leads to that 7-17 record (besides yesterday's solid pitching performance) is the 123 runs allowed. No other teams in the West have even given up 100.

I didn't see the entire game, but I know he didn't drive in any runs.

And Rasmus is playing well above average this season. Not even close.

They're not even fun to watch. Hinch needs to be gone tonight and replaced with someone who can hold players accountable and doesn't take 20 games of the exact same mistakes to attempt coaching.

And it's pretty obvious that the main problem with our team plate approach is Hinch / hitting coach have these guys guess at every single pitch, likely based off statistics and probabilities. Outside of Altuve and every now and then Correa, nobody can actually see the ball and decide to swing based on what they see. Just guessing, hoping, etc.

Gatti right there was obviously looking change up and not swinging unless he got it. That's absurd. Count is in your favor. Maybe guess once, after that.. see the ****ing ball.
