So predictable
quote:Giles had 27 pitches and got us through the heart of the order.

To be fair Giles threw nearly 30 pitches in the 8th
quote:And all of last year as well?
**** Harris. Nothing but a AAA closer who greatly over performed first half of the season.
I've been quiet about Hinch all year, but damnit Harris has no business being a closer.

How many times does it take to realize Harris is in a slump? If this was the first time, sure it's Harris. But this is not the first time. Stop throwing up the same crap every night and just hope it works THIS time.
quote:
After Saturday night he should have moved him back to the 8th inning.
Then put Giles in the ninth but tell him it's the eighth.

I disagree. Bringing in Giles in the 8th was the right choice. Harris in the 9th, not so much.

I agree all closers go through slumps. This is a team that can't afford to lose games to the Blue Jays. Why put the outcome in the hands of a guy who's been struggling? It's not rocket science.

So who else should he have brought in?

Gregerson would've been a better choice. And FTR, I don't give a damn about saves or "closer." You bring in the guys that give you the best chance to win. Harris has not been the best chance for the past month.
